CITI About Us Subheading

The Community Information Technology Initiative (CITI) is a project of the Municipal Art Society. The goal of CITI is to provide community-based organizations with maps, data and technical assistance to support local planning efforts.

CITI began as a demonstration of the utility of publicly accessible GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data as a tool for community participation in local planning.

We are pleased to announce that CITI's interactive maps and data are available directly from www.nyc.gov. Made possible through a partnership between the City of New York and the Municipal Art Society, www.myciti.org now provides direct access to PLUTO's detailed property information including zoning, ownership, land use and lot dimensions. Stay tuned as new data and functions are added to the MyCITI Map Portal.

CITI will continue to provide training and technical assistance to community-based organizations, community boards and individuals seeking to better understand this rich mapping resource, that is now an integral part of the City of New York's online infrastructure.
